I'm getting married... shock!

I know I have been engaged now for nearly a year but my dad just booked his travel lodge room with my sisters and grandma plus my uncle and auntie are arranging thier stay...

It is real now!

I am feeling quite scared... I really hope I can pull this off along with uni, its a good thing I have all that money saved for me to have time off while at uni..

All the little bits are left to the plan, it is really happening..

I am just going to go and take some deep breaths in a corner

Sick yet again

So I am ill yet again, woke up this morning and felt so dizzy, I kept falling over and then I threw up! Great 3 days to Christmas and I am throwing up in my bathroom.. Great!Also had to call in sick to work which made me feel like a bitch, I think I might as well sleep all today and hopefully be well enough for tomorrow..

I've been working my butt of at my new job which is only xmas temp but I really enjoying it, I am really hoping that I can apply for a perm part-time job there as I do really like it, other than that we are still waiting for our 42inche telly (why we need a 42 inche has me confused but that is what boytoy wants but it still isn't here after two days!), I've wrapped nearly all my presents, I went and brought a load yesterday and got my muther a fab present! 

 Taking a leap out of Shannon's book, I'm going to look back on 2008, not the best year but hopefully next year will be better

January 2008 - After all the problems at work, I failed an alcohol test and was fined £80, haven't mentioned this before as I was sooo upset.. I then got told of by my work and was on my final warning.. so they could fire me!

Feb 2008 - I got engaged!!!!  Totally fab!

March 2008 -  I found my wedding dress, it is still so pretty can't wait to wear it in June! Borrowed money for boytoy's parents to buy a house.

April 2008 - Went to Scotland, got my grant for uni and we lost the flat we wanted :(

May 2008 - Was signed off sick for a week after I trapped and broke my wrist in a cage at work because we were under staffed, of course I got told off for this and work made out it was my fault!Also me and boytoy had our engagement party!

June 2008 - Had to sort out my girlie part loads of hospital visits! Exchanged contracts on our house :) Also moved into our new house and brought our kittens!I lost a temp work during this month because they wouldn't allow me time of to move my house!  Left college and got an AAA

July 2008 - Got the internet! Changed the wedding plans from getting married in Greece to getting married in England, makes everyone very happy!

August 2008 - I got into my uni!

September 2008 - Job hunting

October 2008 - Turned 23! And started uni!  Had op at the hospital took a week to recover but I can have children :) 

November 2008 - Erotica plus loads of stress from uni and work, handed in notice at work then left! Cleared my Credit Card debt only loan left!

December 2008 - Left another supermarket job and ended up at this health and beauty job :)  Boytoy left his job and starts a new one in Jan 2009! 

 Looking back it hasn't been that bad maybe I just keep thinking of the bad bits, I am hoping to keep this job as I do really like it so we will see after xmas..

 Today I've gotta go and send late xmas presents to Scottyland, use our vouchers to buy some yummy xmas food, do some revision and update my fansites..

Well it's the end of the first term...

So I left my new job at the supermarket and managed to get a job as a xmas temp for a health store so I am very excited :)  I start on Tuesday :)

It is only for 4 weeks,  but it will help me reach my goal of 1.500 for I dont' have to work till the summer and spend all my time on my studies, I think I am saving quite well... nearly 500, just waiting for my SAYE money, plus my uni loan and what is left from the paycheck in Jan.

My plan is to get some job where I'll work for free but in return for the experince, maybe a network manager or a programmer or a web designer.. I can make tea or coffee, send post, write letters.. it will look good on my CV might help me find a job after my degree.

Uni is over for this term, am still awaiting my marks, anything above 40% is a pass in these four modules... not long maybe next week..

Boytoy has seriously damanged his back and has been signed off for 4 weeks, (well he will be going into work for his new job in Jan), I am just worried, we got to wait for blood tests, gotta play it by ear...

Other than that I am going to Ikea with my mum on Monday to get some bookcases for my living room and other bits for my house plus things for the wedding :)

Wedding planning is going well, just sending out the invites this week with the xmas cards, I have been taking pictures out of my wedding magazines for my hair styles, bits for the reception and my flower designs (with help from my FMIL).

I am enjoying Gossip Girl, no new epsiodes till Jan as well as the other tv shows..

1GB yeah baby!

I am really pleased with myself as I just managed to upgrade my RAM on my PC to 1GB instead of 512Mb and it is working like a dream, I am more than likely going to get more RAM for it in the next couple of weeks.

Started my new job and lets just say I am not loving it, I am at the moment job hunting again, I was stupid enough to go back into a supermarket, well it's my own fault but I think I might have an admin job lined up but I won't hear about it for the next couple of days but in the meantime I am just applying like there is no tomorrow..

Oh well, I will just think of this job as a xmas temp role and it will make me feel better...

Urgh I am such a silly bugger sometimes..

Goals update for Nov/Dec 08

Okay so we are nearly in Christmas area of the year which I love love!!!  With only two weeks left at uni and 3 assignments left, I am soooo excited!!  Plus I got a new job working in another supermarket (yup said I would never work in one again but only job going!!) it's nearer to the uni but downside is that it takes me an hour and half to get home but oh hum, I have to do that with traveling to and from uni anyway!Hours are good 12 a week, 4-8 tues, thurs and sat, so I always have Sunday off with my beloved husband...Okay back to my goals, I am in process of thinking of new ones for next year.

• Complete college with the grade of AAA

• Move into our new house

• Buy two cats (Arthur and Kitty)

• Buy a wii (Complete! But then exchanged for an Xbox Live)

• Find a new job or change my hours at current job (I quit my current job for uni and now have a new job!!)

 So other than get my fansites capped which is still an on going task just because I never have anytime but I think we are all done, for next year here are some of the ones I am thinking of...

I have the strangest cats, Arthur likes to play fetch with mice (toy!) and Kit likes to sleep onto of the cupboard.

It's going well at Uni got a 74 in Java assignment 2 and 61 in my Computer Systems, so I am pretty pleased :)  Just handed in Computation assignment 2... and just as I thought I would have the weekend free but my Java assignment 4 has just been handed out!! URGH!!!

Tonight I have cleaned my kitchen floor, nearly done my bathroom, watching Sex & the City boxset and am waiting for my fish and chips but I really want chinese food!

Stess, Stress, Stree Part II

So it has been a stressful week with Erotica, the boiler breaking, not being able to find a job, two job interviews, getting a job, money and the whole uni assignments plus presentation.

Well I have a new job which is super! Gotta sort out my money joined a spending diary website which will help me look at what I am spending and on what! It's shockingIdon't like looking at it but maybe it will help me?

I did my presentation got a 74, which I am dead pleased with as 40 was the pass rate, got my Java in on time and I think the boiler has stopped leaking.. fingers crossed.

I have only 4 more assignments until the end of term, 3/2 weeks, so it is all good and start training for my new job on Saturday :)

Don't know why I had an alright day at uni and had a good afternoon with some of my girls, we went to Yummy Noodle which I really liked!! I'm taking the best mate there tomorrow afternoon.

I really should my programming but I am pissed off, I think it down to me coming on, so now I have to eat a load of chocolate to make me feel better and watching Frasier.  Programming is alright and ive finished one class and one more to go.

I will spend an hour at uni tomorrow doing coding, I  have just a few more bits, plus gotta do my assignment for computation...

I also have a presentation on Monday, I am given it on Crop Circles, th eboytoy is telling me it's all aliens but I want to do all the theories :)

I think I am going to have a bath and unload the dishwasher then maybe hit something

Tv Catch Up

So today I managed to catch up with my favourite tv shows, and oh my god all the twists and turns, I don't know whether I am coming or going..

Gossip Girl.. we are on erm epsiode 11 of season two and it is a good one! I would really like to see some more blair and chuck to be honset with you also Jenny's character is so good!

I have to keep up to it, it makes me laugh so much!

Desperate Housewives, now on episode 8, Eddie husband seriously wtf? Plus me and my best mate have nearly figured out why he is back and why he wants to hurt Mike :)

Oh and Julie's boyfriend, ew!!!

Supernatural, haven't seen it in a while since the boytoy hasn't download any new ones, but I still love it, this season has to be so much better than the last one as it was a bit weak and I was very disappointed by it!

And my favourite at the moment Heroes! Season three, with the introduction of Elle, she has to be my favourite character in the whole show.

Clarie pissed me off being all good and that, Elle is totally the opposite plus she is evil and I always like to cheer for the bad guys.

I haven't that into it until they put Sylar and Ellie together, they are the best coupling I have seen in a long time, so crazy, so alike, I just hope they picked the right side ;)

I really should be doing my three assignments which are due in next week but I gotta catch up with the tv shows.  But they are half done, and I left my job but I do have two job interviews this week :)

Random note, I really wish Arthur would stop sitting on my laptop... sigh!

The ibook has arrived!

After two weeks and so many e-mails to the stupid bint who I brought my laptop off it is here!!

Minus the fact she sent it to the wrong address, this is after she e-mail me and asked what address, she still sent it to my muthers!

It is a lovely little laptop! I have already brought 1GB of Ram (only has 256), new charger(the old one has some bit of plastic to hold it all together), new battery (It only last 30 minutes otherwise) and new keyboard (The letters EAS have rubbed off!) for it :)  I'm hoping I'll get the RAM tomorrow so I fit it plus my dad sent me loads of application for the MAC as I normally run on a PC.

This is the most I have spent on myself for such a long time but it will help me out tons as I can use it on the train to do assignments, an extra 3 hours I will gain!!!

Oh and here is my PC so it doesn't feel left out ;)

40 reason I dislike my job and quit

Okay, well while I was at work last trying to figure out if I made the right choice in leaving work (Uni is more important!!), I was thinking of things I won't miss (apart from 4 people), I don't normally post about my job but as I have quit and only have one weekend left I thought what the heck!

1. When facing up, making sure all the bottle drinks are forward and looking pretty, some annoying customer comes and takes one, leave it be please! You do not need cola at 10.30pm at night!

2.  While packing your carrier bag, you do not then unpack the bag and re-pack it!

3. Dirty money from dirty customers, please wash first

4. Coughing and ill customers,  please do not cough on me!

5. Don't call me by my name badge, on second thoughts unless you know me don't say my name at all, it's creppy.  Also the lady who always says my name like she knows me but when I had a different name badge on calls me back that name, it's been two and half fricking years!!!

6. Ungrateful Managers

7. Crappy jokes customers tell me every time I am there... it's like they are on a loop!

8. Weather catching, yes I know it is raining, no you are not the first person to tell not even the first 50!

9. Saying "pick me a lucky one" when you buy lotto, if I had the ability to do that I would not be working here

10. Customers asking me where things are when they haven't even looked and it normally turned out they are standing right next to them

11. Having conversation with the person next to you, it is just rude, this goes for chatting on mobiles too

12. Talking down to me, I am more than likely more educated than you and your dole family put together

14. Trollies, you do not need to do your full weeks shop in our little express store, we will hide them again!

Uni was alright got there, got my money for high grades, shouted at Java for many hours and then went around my my mates house to have dinner with her and her boyfriend because my husband-to-be was working.

I am watching Gossip Girl at the moment plus dipping my kitkat in my tea instead of shouting at my java tonight, nice to have a break :)

So not the best start to the morning, was up at 6.30am, walked to the train station for 7.30am, then 3 trains didn't turn up!!!

It was then 9am so I thought I would walk to the next train station, missed that train, the next train not till 10am in which time my lectures would be over!!

So called the uni both departments then I couldn't find my purse for the bus fare home!!

Found the money in the bottom of my bag..

And now just spent £55 on some software for uni... joys!

Amazon Woes

Fed up with this amazon buyer.

I sent her the wrong book, I was just out of sugery, so I said sorry and asked the women who had the wrong book to send it back so I could swap them over.

The other woman never sent back the wrong book, so this woman doesn't have a book.

I refunded her the full amount and even issused  her a £5 gift voucher on top of the amount she paid, £3 mor!

Now she e-mailed me saying she doesn't want the gift voucher and wants her book!

I HAVEN'T GOT YOUR BLOODY BOOK!!!

Just take the fucking money and leave me alone!

Christ oh mighty!

A&E

So I was at work been on the till 2 hours, lifting baskets, then I felt something next thing I knew my stitch had gone funny and I was bleeding...

Managers at work dont' really give two fucks and the admin lady took me to A&E ..

3 hours later, my stitch is out, it was getting infected no one told me when to have it out, if I had left it in any longer I would have got an infection and that would of been serious!!!

Am in pain and have just got home.. I was so scared :( No work tomorrow so that is good news..

Urgh!

New week.. new crap..

I am always so postive in my posts lately..

Just shite seems to follow me and drop on me all day..

Today was just one of those days, the first couple of hours went well, granted I was in my muthers car eating jam on toast while gossiping.

But my last class sucked, my teacher is boring and went over the time meaning I missed my train while it pissed down with rain, next train was delayed because some fat woman took 10 minutes getting on the god damn train.

I left the uni at 5pm and got home at 7.30pm.  I seemed to lost about an hour somewhere while the guy on the train next to me laughed and looked up maps on his mobile phone during this I was trying not to slap him because I was in a bad mood.

Fast forward 3 hours and now I am in a better mood since I've eaten, had a bath and watched the lastest Zero Punctuation.

My birthday was wicked, it was nice not going to work over the weekend, me and the boytoy went out for lunch and to the movies to see Taken.

Birthday evening I went around to my muthers for dinner with my grandparents and my silbings.

Sunday, I went out for birthday lunch with my best girlie so I was really pleased but it made me realise how much I miss my girls so much wish I could spend more time with them.

I'm off to bed in a sec as I'm up at 6.30am again plus I keep playing with my bellybutton where my stiches are and it makes me feel sick but I still do it..

Post-Surgery

I am home after surgery today and feel a little funny but other than that I'm alright :)

Good news all my girlie parts are fine and I can have CHILDREN!! I am sooooo fricking pleased!!!

Also I might not be getting that extra two grand a year because according to the government because I live with my partner and under 25, I am still under my mothers income! Seriously wtf! But if I got married, had a baby or was overthe age of 25 it would be fine!

Good news that I am getting married in 7 months eh?

Also other than that I have interview this Friday and I have a dyslexia assessment next monday, I've been dyslexia since a babe so I just want help at uni :) and might even get money so that's all good..

Okay am off to sleep...

Wandering mind...

Only a day and a half till surgery and I can hardly keep my mind from wandering off to thinking about it, I'm at uni today but I don't think any of it is going in!!!

Plus with work crapness over the weekend, I'm going to have to leave before I just crumble into a crying mess..

Surgery surgery sugery...I don't want it, but I need to know..

Oh I need distractions.. if uni can't do maybe havinga quiet night in with the telly and the boy will help...

So I started uni this week and it is really good, it's nice to be learning something new :)

I found out today that I can get two busaries a year which I don't have to pay back, I got the first one still awaiting the second one, also I called my student finance direct and they said since I havent' lived at home for about a year (I said I lived with my rents, stupid me!!) that I could get more money by basing it on our low income.. so I am in a very good mood this means I might be able to leave my horrible horrible nasty job!!!!

Plus boytoy has a job interview next week, fingers crossed he gets it he will be so happy!!

Other than uni and being upset at work, I've been selling things on the internet and trying to make some cash to pay of my credit card, I have made nearly  £100 to pay off the credit this month, which brings me down to nearly £350!! Plus boytoy also said he will give me some cash for a bday present so will other people so that can go strainght on it..

I also brought loads of xmas presents today and I have brought more wedding bits and bobs..

So I am in a really good mood, next Wednesday I am still alittle nervous but I do have 5 days off in total!!!

Snowball Debt

I used thier little calc to figure out my debt well my cc which is the most annoying, the loan will be paid off in 3/4 years time so I don't really think about it, after joining moneysavingexpert.com, I'm trying to hit my debts head on and get it paid off according to the table I will have it paid off by sept 2009 but I want it done before then so I am doing thier payment a day and hopefully I will pay it off all by myself by next year.

It's my birthday soon so hopefully I will get money for that and use that towards my debts and also I am going to sell more things on ebay today :)

I need to start getting rid of my debts again. All my money seems to go on bills and stuff at the moment but I thought if I could just take 1 debt and make a payment to it each and every day then it will soon disappear (in theory!!).

So I will HAVE to make a payment to this card every day, even if it is just a penny.

I have been going on about this for the past 3 months at work ever since my brother told me about it.  Our coins now have pictures of the the Royal Arms on it and you have to put all the pennies together to get the picture! And now I found it on the internet!! Yay!!!

The new designs have been chosen via an open competition which was widely publicised in the national media in August 2005 and attracted 4,000 entries. The winning designer is 26-year-old Matthew Dent, originally from Bangor who now lives and works in London as a graphic designer.

After exploring a number of different options, Matthew Dent finally developed the heraldic theme, taking the greatest heraldic device ever used on coinage – the Royal Arms.

As you can see in the image to the right, the Shield of the Royal Arms has been given a contemporary treatment and its whole has been cleverly split among all six denominations from the 1p to the 50p, with the £1 coin displaying the heraldic element in its entirety. This is the first time that a single design has been used across a range of United Kingdom coins.

The new designs will enter circulation gradually throughout the year. It is normal practice for banks to order coins from the Royal Mint to satisfy public demand, which fluctuates over the course of the year. The current coin designs will remain in circulation and as legal tender for the foreseeable future.

To mark this major numismatic milestone, the Royal Mint is offering a range of magnificent limited-edition collections produced to Proof quality.

They are sooo cool!! I have a 2p, 1p and a5p at the moment :) I want them all!

RIP Wheatabix

On Monday my lovely hamster Wheatabix died :( I loved him so much, he was given to me from my brother who use to come out in a rash everytime he went near him, he was 3 and a half years old, we buried him today in our garden.. RIP Wheatabix..

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

Well I went out last night down to where my uni is located with one of my work friends, we had a good old chat and caught up on things.  We can't really talk about anything too personal at work as people will over hear us but it was a really good evening.  Didn't get to bed till 3am and then woke up at 9am.

So this morning had a headache from hell and now I am decided not to drink for a very long time or until my birthday in 17 days!

Me and the boytoy went down to Brighton on Monday to get his next tattoo done, it looks very pretty, I also had to go to lecture at uni which was so dull!

 

We have managed to watch the second season of Heros and oh my god!! I want more, where is season three, it's all very exciting but as I have to wait for season three I will watch season three of Supernatural which I just borrowed off my mum.

Okay I'm off to do boring things like pay bills and order food... being a grown up bites sometimes...

It's true the girlie parts do hate me!

Since me and my doctors are still trying to figure out what is wrong with my girlie part, I went in for my chat before my Laparoscopy surgery on the 15th Oct (3 days before my birthday!) to see whether or not I have Endometriosis.

Fun fun..

Chat went well, had some blood taken, anyway I was surfing the internet about the surgery and came across this picture!

What the FUCK is that? Oh my god!

Thank goodness I am being put to sleep during the 30 minutes op...

The reason behind going through all these pain and ops is to figure out will I be able to have children... oh and make sex not hurt again... pretty please??

If I do have Endometriosis it means I could not be able to have children, but if I do get pregnant then it will hopefully cure it..

Which is very random...

The only cure is pregnancy and Endometriosis can stop you getting pregnant..

Fingers crossed me and my hubby will be pregnant in two years time, so do want to make him a father, we only want one child..

Other than this depressing topic, me and the hubby have been out shopping and to pick up my post, he's now gone off to the denist and the kitten's are sleeping on my clean clothes.. sigh.. I'm off to take some headache tabs..

Shadow Cat & Spidey...

We had a good Friday last week when we went down to Brighton so he could have his next tattoo done, Shadow Cat, she looks pretty cool...

 It is going to look amazing onceshe is finished, I think he is going for a long session next Monday.

We had some bad news today and it has really bumed me out, my hubby was moved to a different store, so we dont' know how sercure his job is.

I'm a little worried.

If he loses his job or takes a pay drop then I will have to leave uni... it is a very last resort but it makes me worried.. I have been wanting to go to uni forever.

I'm going to go and cheer up, no point in both of us being down, off to tidy and to watch Camp Rock.. ha ha!

Busy Bee

Well it's been a busy week with wedding planning, kitchen planning and getting my driving lessons..

Yesterday I managed to sort out the DJ, figured out what type of wedding cake was are having (cupcakes yay!) so I might buy these from Tesco or another superstoreand I spoke to the reception hall about how many tables, how many seats around the tables and what time we have to leave.

I need to e-mail them today to ask if we can have raspberries with appleizer as not alot of people drink... we will see..

On the kitchen planning we have worked out it will cost about £500 but we will leave it until next summer now as I start uni in about a weeks time :) I am sooo excited!!

The BoyToy is buying me driving lessons for my birthday which is in a months time! 23 baby!

Well with my uni money which I get in a couple of weeks, I am buying myself a car and I am goingto get serious about passing my driving lessons, it's about time I'm 23! I've done about 25-30 hours driving lessons but had to stop as ran out of money.. I want to do an intenvise course and pass by xmas :)

It's my day off and I can stay in my pj's if I want

Well the weekend has been and gone, I was in a bitch of mood all weekend at work just because my period is trying it's best to kill me! Anyway people were annoying me over silly things and you what it is like when your on your period and you just want to slap everyone silly for being plain stupid.

Other than that, a good friend of mine came over with her boyfriend to fit the doors in my house as crazy woman we brought it off took all the god damn doors off, why? I don't know anyway they are all back on now and today I spent staining the doors so they all match.  Also me and my friend went to walk her dogs down by the beach it was good fun :)

This week I'm off to see the best mate and her new painted living room, plus she wants to try some beauty treatments on me as she has just startedher beauty course at college which sounds all good to me.  Then on Friday I have best mate plus two other friends coming over to see my house :) yay!

 Oh and I am half way through Twilight and I am totally in love with the book even though I had my doudts as everyone says it reads like a fanfiction but I do really like it :)   I'm off to read a little more of my book and have some dinner

To-do List

Trying to get my to-do list down today.  Wedding planning is nearly completed.. which is pretty good since I've only been planing for two months, I'm just buying things for the reception here and there so it doesn't mount up other than that I just need to find a cake (or think about buying/making one in pieces, I would like one like the following) oh and find a DJ.. so it's pretty much sorted.. there is always bits and pieces here and there.

 Uni side not alot Ihave my freshers week coming up and I still need to get a passport picture done for my ID card, I just want to start classes... it's been a long 4 months... sigh!

Big Yawn Day

It has been a very lazy day in my house, BoyToy didn't get up until midday as he wasn't feeling well, I got up at 7.30am and was sitting with the kittens as they were lonely, so we all had breakfast and I waited for BoyToy to get up.

I managed to finish my front door and together we started the fireplace which needs a second coat and it needs to be finished.  Other than that we have done nothing much else I watched Spooks season 3...

Dead Deer/Stag?

I feel really tired today and I don't know why, we didn't get up till 8.30am as BoyToy has been on his day off's for the past two days..

We didn't do much, we went to get my uniform as I left it at work, went down the Old Town for a fry up which I loooooove and a hot chocolate.

We were down some random shop and it went on for miles, found some cool bits and pieces.. here is BoyToy with what we think was a real dead deer/stag..

Got home and did a little bit more decking, now I am waiting for BoyToy to come back from his friends and I am watching Most Haunted Live! Yay!

I am fucking pissed off so much so I am just going to end up crying, after a crappy arugement with the BoyToy this morning,  the wedding shoes have been cancelled yet again and now my dishwasher is playing up, bubbles everywhere..

Change of plans II

After my pervious two posts, regarding children, as my degree course is only 3 years long, we have decided as a couple to try for our first child in the next two/three years then I'll take a year out and then find a job.

I am pretty happy with desicion as BoyToy doesn't want to be an old dad and he wil be only 33/34 years old when we have our first, we have the house, he is (hopefully) getting a job promoted to an extra 5 grand a year so we will be comfortable so why should we wait too long.

Anyway wedding planning is going well, we paid our despoit on the reception hall and now just awaiting the cater price.. I'm just planning how I would ike everything laid out at the reception hall.

And Uni starts in less than 4 weeks, I am sooo excited, can not wait to learn all these new programming languages, scripts and database management skills.

I've been working all bank hol weekend and had to get up at 6am this morning after working a late the night before till 11pm, I am so tired///

Explaining

Not alot is going on this evening, I babysat my brother all day, we tried to go swimming but it wouldn't let children in before 1.30pm and it was only 11am, we weren't going to wait so we can going to try again on Thursday.I managed to get hold of the whiskers cheap kitten food from the small mountain at ESK, and I picked up 5 boxes as my babies don't like the can ones.. bless..

Just to explain...

It’s not that I’m saying I don’t want children, it’s just my personal view that I have worked so hard for this degree to stop during the 4 year period and have a baby as it would not be fair on me, my husband or our future child(ren) as I wouldn’t be able to give all my attention.

 

I’m not saying get pregnant then a week after giving birth go back to work, I would go back to work after a year then my partner would look after the child(ren), I wouldn’t want a stranger with my child(ren).

 

I am more broody then anyone else but I know I couldn't have a child right now, we haven't the money, I'm starting uni, we want to save at least 5 grand before a child and my partner is changing his job.
Hope I’ve explained myself and you don’t think I am an arse :( didn't mean to come across like that.

Children Vs Career

After the question was raised on lavish.nu about being a Stay At Home Mum for the sake of a career, I was thinking where I stand on this issues.

Personally, I've worked sooo hard to get into one of the top uni's in England to study Computer Science, that I will never be a SAHM it is not who I am.

I believe children are important and I do want to have two children maybe when I'm 28 or 30.  I feel I have no rush and everyone keeps asking me when are me and BoyToy are having them and even asking are we getting married because we have one on the way (uh no!).

I have to complete my degree so 4 years that will make me 27 then I want find a good job which has progess for me to become an IT manager also allow me to study for my Masters (the degree after the one I complete) and hopefully my doctorate (part-time of course).

BoyToy is going to be 30 by the time we are married so he will be late 30s before we have children, I don't feel bad about him being older than most people having children as he understands how important my degree is to me.  But he is aduty manager at my shop so he earns a good wage and would go part-time when we have children so he can be a stay at home dad as he dislikes his job and would prefer it, personally that is fine with me, he can stay at home and I can bring home the bacon!

Also after I have children I would not mind studying for my teaching degree which would mean I could complete a life time goal of teaching ICT to secondary school children but life is full of things I would love to do :)

Don't get me wrong, I think people who stay at home to look after thier children are amazing, my best mate does it and loves it so much but saying that she is also going back to school to study Beauty and Health as my god daughter is now nearly 2.

I think if you can afford to be a SAHM then you should do it but I also wouldn't feel guilty if you work and have children after all women can multi-task..
