Packing is not fun

It is offical packing is long and very very boring..

So far we have packed up our living room, bedroom ( I say bedroom but you can not see it as a bedroom because of all the binbags full of clothes), bathroom and kicthen.  We started on the boytoy's studio about 4 hours ago and now I am bored as boytoy wants to put his DVDs into the box in alphabetical orderso I have disappeared into the "bedroom" to play on the computer..

Internet is going to take 3/4 weeks, seriously wtf! Thought we were living in a technology age.... sigh!!!

8.30am the packers come...

11 hours to go...

Moving...

Moving date is now the 27th of June!

We are both really excited, but have a lot of packing to do!

But the upsetting thing is I won't have the internet for a month!!!!!

So I won't be around while I move into our new house... but hopefully I'll be back sooner than that date with pictures!!

Trying to save the precious pennies

So with the house move coming up, and with me having to cut back on hours due to uni and boytoy still training for his new job, we are very short of cash every month and it's becoming a problem.

For the next four months, I am on the hunt for a second job to help out with the bills.

Here is some ideas I have had for cutting our bills down:

Sell the second car, then we won't have MOT or insurance for it

Find cheaper car insurance for the main car

Get rid of the house phone and only use the line for boardband because we both have mobiles and get unlimited calls for people on the same network as us, and since I have managed to get most my friends on the network it's become cheaper

No more impluse shopping!!!! Always write a list

Buy food online and buy the frozen food from Iceland

Use the 24 hour rule

Sort out the cupboards and sell anything we don't need

Buy housing products in bulk

Put all the extra pennies from my purse in our penny jar and any extra money on the online account into the savings account

Any other ideas?????

Wireless

After months and months of nagging the boytoy, we went down to the computer shop and fixed his DVD writer, this meant he could use the new wireless modem to connect to the internet and I could use the wireless adapter, well good news it all works and now we can both on the computer at the same time =)

I am sooooo pleased, no more unplugging and replugging in telephone adapters, thank god!!

SQUEEL YAYAYAYAYYAY!! (I am soo excited by this, I must be a computer geek =P)

Off to see Sex and the City the movie tonight with my muther

Update on the goals

So these are the goals I have for this year and here is how they are coming along after one month =)

• Complete college with the grade of AAA

• Move into our new house (Happening in 6 weeks!)

• Buy two cats

• Buy a wii (Complete!)

• Find a new job or change my hours at current job (Changed the shop job to weekends and am temping in admin until uni starts)
  

• Pay of remain Credit Card

• Complete my Buffy DVD collection (Own 1-4 already - brought season 4)

• Complete my Frasier DVD collection (Brought season 2)

• Buy at least 10 new shades of Barry M (I own 30 already) (I have 3 new ones!)

• Find and buy a laptop

• Make a great start at uni
